About trio
Jazz Forum (06/19) magazine publishes a summary of the last Santader Jazz nad Odrą festival including this snippet on Tubis Trio.
"The melancholy of Komeda’s music gave way to the rhythms of Tubis Trio, a band which blends Scandinavian sounds, clearly reminiscent of the legendary Esbjörn Svensson Trio, with the trance of the new English scene. One might call it acoustic fusion music. Rock drums, powerful bass, and beguiling melodies: just what the doctor ordered for any jazz music novice. Let’s hope Tubis Trio succeeds in bringing many young jazz fans to the genre."
Robert Ratajczak after Blue Note Jazz Club’s concert in PL
The comparison of the band’s studio recordings and their stage performance well exceeded my expectations. Tubis Trio is a musical team that works together superbly on stage. (...) This was undeniably one of the best concerts of a Polish band that I was fortunate to attend this year. In the same way The Truth, with which the trio has been touring, ranks very high amongst this year’s European jazz productions.
Stuart Nicholson – Jazzwise Magazine (UK)
„I would simply say that to me you are developing a strong individual voice that sounds as if it comes from Europe and not the USA.”
Sampler “The Truth” – listen
Geno Thackara – AllAboutJazz (PL)
Besides offering plenty of detail under the surface, The Truth can just as easily serve as jazz for people who don't normally like jazz: a charming and genuinely buoyant listen for just about any taste. (…) Alongside the sophistication and interplay of a smooth-swinging combo, the leader's songs are brightly melodic enough to brighten any day, Monday or otherwise.
Review justifying the selection of the album amongst the best albums of 2017.
Tips Jazz Center – Jazzflits Magazine (NL)
"This unknown Polish piano trio sounds similar to EST, Tingvall, Gogo Penguin and other modern trios. Yet, they have "something" that distinguishes them from the others. Promising debut!"

Angelique Van Os – Jazzism
Their music is a combination of catchy melodies and a contagious, brilliantly selected light pop rhythm filled with syncopation and elegiac solos, especially by Tubis. The compositions are ear-friendly without being dull. Their strength becomes evident in the energy and dynamic performance of the band, creating an impressive balance of which “Seven Heavens” is a perfect example.
